Sega Saturn Promotional Video
This is a promotional video for the Sega Saturn. It is from 1995 and is a mish mash of jarring confusing images that the marketing people must have thought would make the system “cool”. It’s a cross breed between Fellini, Lynch, and The Spin Doctors. Also, the video ends with the “Theater of The Mind” ad campaign that ran on tv.

The Saturn was not more powerful than the PS. The Saturn didn’t even use polygons like the commercial here says. It used a primitive technique known as quadratic texturing, making it a beast to program for. It was really more of a 2d machine than 3d. All those processors didn’t make it it easy to program for either.
On a side note I actually received this video on VHS when I was a kid as part of a promotional stunt. I got it in the mail and I think it came with a coupon for like $50 off.

I never played a Saturn and did not know anyone who owned one. Everyone had either a Playstation or an N64. How did the Saturn compare to the Playstation? I’m assuming Playstation was better?
